We’re a family-run custom printer specializing in short-run food-safe papers, producing consistent, reliable results for restaurants, events, and multi-location brands.
Custom Packaging & Products began in 1974 in Atlanta when founder John Van Horn started converting paper and printing gift wrap and tissue for retailers across the country. Later, moving the headquarters to southwest Florida, Custom Packaging & Products continues serving customers nationwide.
A single request – small-quantity custom deli paper for restaurant openings – showed there was a gap in the market. We focused our equipment and process on short-run, low-minimum custom food-safe papers, and we’ve stayed committed to that niche ever since.
While we specialize in short runs, we also manage high-volume orders for multi-location businesses nationwide with the same efficiency and accuracy, ensuring consistent quality for all orders, whether large or small.
Today, the company is led by Ryan Van Horn (President & CEO). Under Ryan’s leadership, we’ve expanded our reach, added new product offerings, updated our presses, and refined processes that allow customers to move from idea to finished product quickly.
What We
Do
We custom print food-safe papers and specialty products for food service and events – everything from deli paper and basket liners to insulated paper and foil, freezer and butcher paper, taco wrap, hot paper, cheese paper, fry paper, coasters, and more. Our exclusive DefenseWrap® line (lightweight and heavyweight) is designed for versatility, strength and moisture control. It is PFAS-free, compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable. We also produce specialty items like wine paper, bouquet and confection papers, die-cut formats, and rush jobs for time-sensitive events.
All production happens in Florida, so quality control and timelines stay in our hands. Orders ship nationwide (and beyond), with typical transit times of 1-5 business days once they leave our facility.

Approve Your Order & Proof
We’ll email a Final Order Confirmation Form and Artwork Proof for your approval and signature. Returning these promptly helps ensure your order meets your deadline.
Production & Delivery
Once we receive the signed forms, your order enters production. We’ll create it to specification and send a shipping confirmation with tracking when it’s on the way.
